How we score TRT clinics in Florida

Florida TRT Guide currently scores 89 testosterone replacement therapy businesses across the state. Every score comes from the same rubric applied the same way to every listing. Nothing here is hand-picked or reordered after the fact. This page explains exactly how the number next to each clinic's name gets calculated, why we weighted it this way, and what the score can't tell you.

The five signals, heaviest first

Each business gets a composite score from 0 to 100, built from five measured signals:

Sentiment, 28%. A synthesis of what recent reviews actually say: the praise, the complaints, and whether the same issues keep showing up.
Rating, 26%. The clinic's aggregate Google star rating.
Volume, 20%. How many reviews the business has, log-scaled so a clinic with 300 reviews doesn't automatically bury one with 20 solid ones, but a handful of reviews still can't outweigh hundreds.
Recency, 14%. How recently people have actually left reviews. A clinic that hasn't been reviewed in two years tells you less than one reviewed last month.
Completeness, 12%. Whether the listing has a working phone number, website, hours, and address. Basic, but it affects whether you can actually book an appointment.

Why sentiment carries the most weight

Star ratings compress a lot of information into one number, and that number can hide patterns that matter a great deal when you're choosing where to get hormone therapy. Two TRT clinics can sit at the same 4.2 stars while one has a scattering of unrelated gripes and the other has a dozen recent reviews all pointing at the same problem: rushed follow-ups, confusing billing, or long waits between lab work and dosage adjustments. The star average won't show you that. Reading what people actually wrote will. That's why sentiment is weighted above the raw star rating itself: it's the only signal that catches a repeated, specific problem before you become the next person writing about it.

Why the other signals matter for TRT specifically

Rating still matters because it's the broadest snapshot of overall satisfaction, and it's worth 26% for that reason. Volume matters because TRT is an ongoing relationship, not a one-time visit, so a clinic needs a real track record, not five reviews from a launch-week promotion. Recency matters because staff, physicians, and protocols change, and a glowing review from 2021 doesn't tell you much about the clinic today. Completeness is the most basic check of all: a listing without hours or a working phone number is a listing you can't act on, no matter how good the reviews are.

The honest limits

We don't republish reviews verbatim; we synthesize themes from them and link out to Google so you can read the originals yourself and judge in context. Businesses with few recent reviews get a low-confidence score, and we label those clearly rather than pretending a thin data set carries the same weight as a deep one. A low-confidence label isn't a bad mark, it's just a signal to do more of your own homework before booking.

Scores are earned, not sold

Every score on this site comes from the rubric above and the underlying review data, and nothing else changes it. Where paid placement exists, it's labeled plainly, and it never affects a business's score. If a page doesn't carry that disclosure, its order reflects the rubric alone.
